The seasons in Paraguay are opposite to the European ones
Paraguay has a subtropical climate. The daily maximum temperatures fluctuate throughout the year. So they can amount to over 40°C on the day in the summer (middle of December to middle of March). The lowest temperatures are sometimes even below freezing in winter. In Asunción the warmest months are November to March. During this time average maximum temperatures of 32-35°C and average minimum temperatures of 25-26°C (at night from 21 to 21.5°C) are measured. The coolest month is usually June with an average of 17°C.
The highest humidity is in the months December to April.
The most pleasant travel months are September to April. The months December to March can be very hot.
