Albania

The climate in Albania is quite different. On the one hand, in the east and north the mountain ranges dominate, reaching up to almost 2800 meters high and covering almost two thirds of the country. Here there is a continental climate with warm summers and partly cold winter months with heavy snowfalls. On the coasts in the west, on the other hand, there is a Mediterranean climate with humid and mild winters as well as dry and hot summer months. In summer, temperatures on the coast often exceed 30 degrees. It is the driest time of the year. From October to May it rains on average more than 10 days.

The best time for a beach holiday is from June to September.
