Climate Central African Republic

Climate Northern Africa

The Central African Republic lies almost exclusively between the fourth and ninth northern latitudes and therefore has a tropical climate. In general, one can distinguish between a dry season from December to April (only sporadic precipitation) and a rainy season from May to November. In the southwest of the country, where precipitation is distributed throughout the year, humid tropical weather conditions prevail with balanced temperatures. During the rainy season, temperatures range from about 24 to 31°C. During the dry season the temperatures are about 26 to 37°C. Even during the evening and night hours it usually cools only slightly. Sometimes there is a very high humidity, which can make the stay in the Central African Republic exhausting.

The best time to travel is from December to mid-February.
