Climate Liberia
Liberia lies in the tropical rainforest climate, which is characterized by high humidity and large amounts of rain. In the north-eastern highlands, this rainforest climate changes into a savannah climate. The Liberian coast is one of the rainiest areas on earth and the average temperatures measured during the different seasons vary only slightly. For example, the coastal temperature is about 24-27°C all year round, while the inland thermometer rises to 22-28°C on average. The mean maximum values before the beginning of the rainy season in March/April are about 30-35°C, at night about 10°C lower.
The rainy season lasts from April/May to October, characterized by irregular, but sometimes tornado-like rains.
For trips to Liberia, the period from November to March/April is a good choice.
