Climate Northern Africa

Mali's climate is characterised by its three main seasons: the rainy season from April/May to September/October, followed by the cool dry season (approx. 25°C in Bamako), which lasts until February, and the hot dry season from March to June with an average temperature of 35°C (Bamako).

After the cool dry season (February), the hot, dry "Harmattan" usually blows from the northeast.

The best time to travel is from November to early March.
