Climate Marshall Islands

Climate Australia & Oceania

The Marshall Islands always have a humid tropical climate due to their proximity to the equator. Temperatures and humidity are high all year round. The annual temperature fluctuations are only slight. From January to March the winds of the north-eastern trade wind have a somewhat cooling effect. Thus it is generally a little cooler on the northern islands than on the southern ones. The average annual temperatures are between 28 and 30 degrees. Most of the rain falls from May to November. It mainly falls in the form of heavy showers. The annual rainfall varies from island to island. In the north only 500 to 800 mm are partly measured, further in the south up to 4000 mm rain per year.

For a trip to the Marshall Islands, the months of December to April are recommended. Then the precipitation is a little lower. Air and water temperatures are pleasantly warm throughout the year.
