Climate Mauritius
Mauritius lies about 20 degrees south latitude. The climate is tropical. In the summer months from November to May, the temperatures at the coast rise to average highs of 30 degrees. Constant breezes from the sea provide refreshment. Also in the months July and August it is pleasantly warm with on the average 25 degrees during the day. In the interior it is cooler, and the mountains are often covered in fog or rain clouds. Water temperatures range from 23 degrees in July to 27 degrees in January. In some years, Mauritius is hit by cyclones that devastate the island.
For a stay in Mauritius the months April to June and September to November are the best months.
