Climate Moldova
Moldova has a moderate continental climate. The summers are quite hot and dry, the winters remain rather mild due to the proximity to the Black Sea, at least in the south. In the north, temperatures in the double-digit minus range are not uncommon in the winter months. In the summer months the average temperatures are above 25 degrees. Despite periods of drought in summer, even the largest amounts of precipitation fall in the summer months. However, these often fall as storm-like rainfall and cannot be absorbed by the soil.
The best time to visit Moldova is from April to October. In the winter months the country can score little with only 2-3 hours of sunshine per day. In summer, however, there are heavy rains and thunderstorms.
