Climate Suriname

Climate South America

Suriname has a tropical climate, but the temperatures are bearable thanks to the trade winds. The average daytime temperatures are about 27-30°C and at night it usually cools down a bit. The humidity is high with 75 and 87 percent. In general, there are four seasons: The small dry season from February to April, the big rainy season from May to August, the big dry season from August to November and the small rainy season from November to February. Even in the so-called dry seasons, short but heavy rain showers must always be expected.

The best time to visit Suriname is from February to March and from October to November (you have to expect short, heavy rain showers here as well).
