The tropical climate on the islands of Tuvalus is warm and always humid. The temperature fluctuations between the seasons as well as between day and night are only small. The average annual temperature is usually around 30 degrees. At night temperatures rarely fall below 25 degrees. The humidity is usually very high. The average annual rainfall ranges between 3000 and 4000 mm. Most rain falls from November to March, but also in the remaining months relatively large amounts of rain fall. Tuvalu can be hit by tropical cyclones between January and March.

For trips to Tuvalu, the months of April to October are recommended, during which the rain showers are heavy, but usually last less long than in the other months.
