Climate Congo

Climate Southern Africa

The Republic of Congo has a tropical climate. The coastal strip has the relatively most pleasant climate. The climate of this region is characterized by both a longer dry period, usually from June to September, and a shorter dry period, from mid-December to mid-January. During this period average temperatures of 27°C are measured. However, temperature fluctuations between 18 and 38°C are not uncommon. The humidity is bearable and the rainfall is less than 1,500 mm per year. The further you go east and north, the greater the rainfall, the higher the humidity (80-90 percent) and the more constant the temperatures are day, night and year round. The rainy season in Brazzaville runs from October to April.

The best time to travel is from June to September.
