Climate Uzbekistan

Climate Central Asia

Due to its geographical location, Uzbekistan has an almost extremely continental climate, characterized by short but very cold winters, early spring, long hot summers and pleasant autumn months. In Uzbekistan, the sun shines 300 days a year. The average temperature in July is about 30-35°C. At this time of year temperatures above 40°C are not uncommon. However, the climate is bearable, since the humidity is low. In January the thermometer often sinks to temperatures down to -10°C, whereby temperatures of -25°C can also be reached. Also at this time of the year it is mostly dry and the days are sunny.

The best time to visit Uzbekistan is between April and mid/late June or in September/October. Depending on the purpose of the trip, you can also choose the other months for a trip, as skiing in the mountains (including heli-skiing) is possible.
